Niklas Herrmann is the Business Area Coordinator at Cowater Nordics, based in Stockholm, where he is responsible for identifying and developing natural resource-driven proposals and implementing ensuing projects and programmes.

Niklas has over 30 years of experience in designing and delivering technical assistance initiatives across Africa, Asia, and Latin America with various donors, with a particular emphasis on facilitating market-led interventions for value chain development and natural resource management. He has more than 10 years of long-term field experience, including as Team Leader for the UNNATI Inclusive Growth Programme in Nepal, Team Leader for the Land Management Programme in Tanzania, and Associate Expert for the UN Drug Control Programme in Colombia.

Niklas graduated in 1988 from the University of Toronto with a four-year bachelor’s degree in economics and international development studies. He is fluent in English, Swedish, Spanish, and German.
