Quarterly Newsletter: The Aus4Equality|Gender-Responsive Equitable Agriculture and Tourism (GREAT)
Implemented by Cowater International, with funding by DFAT-Australia, GREAT is a flagship initiative that aims to improve the socio-economic status of women, with a specific focus on ethnic minority women, living in the Vietnamese provinces of Son La and Lao Cai. This is being achieved by increased participation in, and incomes derived from, growing agriculture and tourism markets through empowering women to take on leadership and decision-making roles, engaging with women as producers, suppliers, traders and entrepreneurs, operating in gender-sensitive ways, and improving sector governance and policy that enable more inclusive socio-economic development.
