The technical assistance (TA) explores innovative and sustainable investment opportunities through policy recommendations and the development of Project Concept Notes that aim to progress the expansion of sustainable blue economy (SBE) and livelihood opportunities in the low-lying atoll nations of Kiribati, Marshall Islands, and Tuvalu. The PCNs are aligned to the 2050 Strategy for the Blue Pacific Continent, and will seek to implement climate resilient, blue economy solutions that support the priorities and enabling environment of the partner governments, address low-lying atoll nations collective barriers, demonstrate innovative financial and economic benefits from multi-country cooperation, and promote support for micro, small and medium enterprises and women entrepreneurs. The TA supports ADB’s Operational Priority 7: Fostering Regional Cooperation and Integration, ADBs Action Plan for Healthy Oceans and Sustainable Blue Economies, and is aligned to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 14 on Life below Water and SDG 10 on Reduced Inequalities .
