Cowater implemented this USD 230,000 project in 2010 to train and build the capacity of internal auditors from the Office of the Government Chief Internal Auditor in the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning in conducting internal audits in a computerized environment. This training was consistent with the guidelines of the Institute of Internal Auditors, and also with an internationally recognized Internal Control Framework such as the COSO (USA) Framework, the Turnbull (UK) Framework, or the CoCo (Canada) Framework. Training materials and manuals were prepared and delivered for payroll audits; value-for-money audits; financial audits; and systems and risk-based audits. Pilot audits were also conducted.
