Agriculture Sector Modernization Project – Consultancy Services to Design, Establish, Operate, Manage and Transfer of Agriculture Technology Demonstration Parks to Farmer Producer Organizations

The overall objective of the ASMP is to increase agriculture productivity, improve market access, enhance value addition of smallholder farmers and agribusiness in the project areas through Agriculture Technology Demonstration Parks (ATDPs). Cowater NZ provided end to end technical advisory and implementation including disseminating modern agriculture practices for ten crops, including six tropical fruits and four vegetables, directly benefitting over 4,300 farmers and more than 3,000 acres of land holdings in 20 Clusters, institutionalized small holder farmers in 20 clusters into farmer producer companies, established of state-of-the-art Post-Harvest Processing and Packaging Centres (PHPPCs) and faciliated market linkages with more than 25 insitutional buyers (domestic/ exporters).
