The Gender Mainstreaming in Economic Development and Poverty Reduction Strategy project was a five-month, USD 116,000 initiative undertaken with the financial support of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). The initiative provided guidance for mainstreaming gender into all aspects of the Government of Rwandas five-year Economic Development and Poverty Reduction Strategy; and assisted the Economic Development and Poverty Reduction Strategy Sector Working Groups to incorporate gender into their sector plan, strategy, budget and monitoring framework.
