Poland Financial Accountability Assessment (FAA)
Europe and Central Asia - Poland
1999-
World Bank
This small, one-month project (February 1999) was in response to an assignment by the World Bank for the formulation of an assessment of the Country Financial Accountability Framework in Poland, particularly as it pertained to the public sector. The project defined and evaluated the existing financial accountability framework from the point of view of its compatibility with the needs of the country and with international accounting and auditing standards. The mission also formulated an action plan outlining the technical assistance and the sequencing of the reforms needed to strengthen the existing legal, accounting and auditing framework.
